We love our CSA, and every week is like Christmas.  I love heading up with our empty bags to find out what we’ll be eating each week.  However, sometimes you get that one gift from Great-Aunt Hilda, where you ask yourself “when am I ever going to use that?”  This week, that gift came in the form of beets and turnips.  I attempted beet-muffins, a la Farm Share Eating (epic fail, by the way – beet-muffin-batter all over the bottom of the oven… – will try a version with eggs in the recipe with our next crop of beets).  And roasted the turnips with some carrots and apples in hopes of getting some valuable vitamins into The Boy (he was less than thrilled).  At any rate, at least the light in the kitchen was pretty and I got a weekly photo out of it!
